Be part of the drugstore's rewards programs. Ulta, CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid all have beauty programs where you can learn rewards when purchasing beauty or personal care items. Often those items can even be FREE after coupon and rewards.
If you use department store beauty brands, make sure to find out when they have Bonus Buy Events. Purchasing your items during those events usually nets you another $50 to $100 in FREE product.
If you don't like an item, return it. Department stores and drugstores stand behind their products and most offer a 100% guarantee. So if that lipstick shade looked more pink in the store, concealer is the wrong shade, or moisturizer makes you break out, return it and get your refund.
