About Black Friday Coupons
Black Friday is back this November 28th with even more deals and discounts than ever! Whether you’re looking into getting a new TV or starting your holiday shopping, use this ultimate Black Friday 2025 guide to maximize your savings.
How to Save Online on Black Friday
1) Look up the Prices
Don’t get lost in the onslaught of Black Friday promotions, prices, and discounts — do your homework! List all the products you need, look for the original retail price, and budget how much you can pay for each item. Then, note all potential retailers that might have sales on those products so you can move quickly on Black Friday.
Be sure to start your research early, well before the big event. Some retailers sneakily up their prices beforehand, only to drop them on Black Friday for the illusion of a generous discount.
Extra tip: Try to group your orders from the same retailers for easy tracking and, most importantly, exclusive discounts that come with purchase minimums.
2) Note the Free Delivery Thresholds
Once you have your list of potential retailers, make sure to keep track of delivery costs and free shipping requirements. Use the estimated price, tax, and delivery costs to calculate which retailer would offer you the best deal overall so you can check them right at the beginning of Black Friday.
3) Set up All Necessary Accounts
Go ahead and create an account for each of your listed online shops. This will help you save valuable time at checkout and ensure you receive all eligible discounts and coupons, especially ones that are time-sensitive.
Make sure to check the available reward programs and loyalty schemes. Signing up could give you access to some extra member-exclusive savings on Black Friday. Or, if you already have an account with some stores, you could cash in the points — and earn some more — during your Black Friday shopping.
4) Know Where to Find the Best Black Friday Deals
Finding a good Black Friday discount can feel a lot like looking for a needle in a haystack. At Savings.com, we have a dedicated Black Friday page listing all the best coupons, offers, and discounts for thousands of retailers like Macy’s, JCPenney, SHEIN, and Best Buy. But if you already have a shop in mind, simply look it up using the search bar at the top. Black Friday discounts and codes will be available right at the top of the merchant page, followed by other rebates, coupons, and offers to give you the best chances to save. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to get a selection of our best Black Friday deals and offers as they become available.
Follow your favorite brands on social media. Most of them share Black Friday savings directly on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, sometimes with special codes and discounts for loyal subscribers.
What are the best Black Friday deals in 2025?
A YouGov study found that regular Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers usually look for clothing and technology discounts. Specifically, 61% shop for clothing deals, and 56% buy tech items. Another 56% use the sales event to purchase gifts. In fact, 43% of people give the opportunity to shop for Christmas as motivation to shop during Black Friday weekend.
Our exclusive data concur. “In 2024, our Apparel & Accessories category saw the highest sales numbers," explains our Holiday & Seasonal deal expert, Jordan Nishkian. “In the top 10 of our most visited pages, we saw big fashion retailers like SHEIN, US Polo ASSN, and Aeropostale. Interestingly enough, our Apparel & Accessories category also saw the highest number of deals during Black Friday weekend. Retailers are listening to consumers and matching their shopping intent."
In 2025, expect markdowns on all your favorite electronics, such as smartphones, Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, and smartwatches (Black Friday Apple Watch deals are at the top of product searches for the second year in a row). Head to department stores like Kohl’s and Macy’s to get your hands on designer clothing and accessories — think bags and jewelry — or discounted home decor and appliances, such as TVs, bedding, and furniture. Expect beauty deals this Black Friday on trending perfume, makeup, skincare, and hair care products. Plus, take the savings opportunity to start your Christmas shopping with discounts on toys, games, and accessories.

More About Black Friday
Black Friday 2024 registered a record $10.8 billion spent online in the United States (+10% year on year). 2025 Black Friday sales are expected to reach $11.7 billion, and 2028 will likely see sales of up to $12.3 billion.
Records show that Black Friday weekend spending averaged $235 per person in 2024. The YouGov study states that 34% of Americans will likely spend at the same amount as last year, while 26% plan to spend less.
Data from Adobe Analytics predicts holiday discounts similar to those in 2024, peaking at an average of 24% across all categories. Electronics and toys sales will likely reach similar discounts as last year (respectively 28% and 27% off). TVs, and sporting goods discounts will be slightly lower than in 2024, reaching 23% and 19% off, respectively (compared to 24% and 20% in 2024).
Shopping habits are evolving, moving toward online purchases. A Salesify report predicts that Cyber Week — including both Black Friday and Cyber Monday — will bring in billions just in online sales. For Black Friday, the report shows that 38% of Americans plan to shop online, versus 11% in-store only, and 24% plan to mix online and in-store. Social media is also pushing this online buying trend, with the report predicting that 56.1% of online sales will be placed on mobile devices.
According to the YouGov study, shoppers have expressed that promotions (78%) will most affect their Black Friday 2025 purchases.
Is Black Friday worth it?
Black Friday became popular due to its doorbuster deals and massive discounts that were originally only available on the day after Thanksgiving. However, as many brands now offer promotions and discounts year-round, wondering whether Black Friday is still worthwhile is a valid question. Looking at our extensive database, it can be — but only if you know what to look for.
In 2024, Black Friday sales typically ranged from 15% to 90%. To understand whether a sale is actually a bargain, you need to look at the regular outlet pages and year-round discounts offered by the brand — not all deals are good deals. If a shop has an all-year discount section offering up to 50% off and gives you the same discount for Black Friday, it's probably not the best time for you to save there. On the other hand, if a brand rarely has offers but advertises a discount on Thanksgiving weekend, then it could be a good Black Friday deal. To know what type of sales and discounts a brand usually offers, look the merchant up on Savings.com and head to the Frequently Asked Questions. You are likely to find an in-depth analysis of the retailer’s codes and discounts (how often does it have coupons, how much do sales usually offer, what type of discounts you can find…). It will surely help you in your research!
It's also important to consider a brand's price range when looking for a good Black Friday discount. A significant markdown on low-priced items will be less worthwhile than a slightly lower discount on a more expensive product. As a general rule, Black Friday should help you buy what you typically can’t afford.
