To choose your Book of the Month, simply navigate to this month’s selection, read about the five available books, and then make your selection. Books are a mixture between fiction and nonfiction, as well as a mixture between more well known authors and authors that are up-and-coming. For example, August 2018’s selection of books included one debut thriller novel, one historical fiction, one magical realism book released exclusively with Book of the Month, one Appalachian noir novel, and one contemporary fiction novel from a new author. Click on any of the novels to get a paragraph from a Book of the Month employee about why it was chosen, as well as some information about the book itself, a synopsis, and the first page of the book as a sample. You can buy monthly for $14.99 per month or yearly for $149.99, which is 12 credits for the price of 10.

How do I make sure I’m getting the best deal on my books by using Book of the Month?

What do I do if I don’t want any of the books being offered this month?

If you’re not excited about the books being offered for a month, all you have to do is go into your account and skip the month! Your current month’s credit will roll over into next month, so you’ll still be able to get full use out of all your credits.

What if I want to buy more than one book this month?

If you want to add extra books to your shipment, you can do so for only $9.99 per extra book. Add-ons don’t have to be from this month either; you can order one of the few hundred previous books as well! Choose from New York Times bestselling authors and debut authors who are barely known at all, with genres from thrillers to memoirs. You can add up to two additional books every month, meaning that your monthly box can have up to three books!
