Build.com is open and ready to serve you, but it cautions that there may be delays across the shopping experience. Customer support response time is slow due to an increased volume of calls and emails. It’s provided a host of self-serve options on its website to help you find answers to common questions. However, if you do have to seek assistance, the store asks that you only send one email or message and it will respond as quickly as possible.
If you need to reach the store by phone for questions about your order or product availability, or to make use of the site’s project experts, take note that its hours of operation are 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the weekends. Live chat hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST on weekdays and 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the weekends.
There may be fulfillment and shipping disruptions due to product availability and delivery delays. Build.com is working closely with its vendors to minimize slowdowns.
If you’re planning a big project and need information about product availability, contact the retailer to ensure the items you need will be in stock.

It’s too early to say what Build.com’s discounts will be like for Black Friday 2020, but looking at previous years’ deals can give you a great idea of what to expect.
Since 2015, Build.com has offered deep discounts across its entire store. Rather than a flat discount across the board, it has cut costs on individual products.
In 2017, the retailer offered Black Friday savings of up to 85% across its many product categories. In 2018, shoppers saw savings of up to 80%, and in 2019, the discounts were up to 75% off. While it appears that Build.com has had a trend of lower discounts, it’s likely that the store will bring back deals of 75% off (or greater) this year.
Those items with the greatest discounts were marked as doorbusters. In previous years, they’ve included Delta showerheads down from $270 to $99 and outdoor sconces down from $344 to $73. This year, it wouldn’t be surprising to see essentials like faucets, lighting fixtures and handle sets deeply discounted as doorbusters.
To make it easier for you to do your shopping, Build.com clearly displayed all of its major product categories, along with the greatest discount in each. Its bathroom, kitchen and lighting sections saw the biggest discounts, with bathroom faucets and pendant lighting priced at up to 75% off.
Bathtubs were up 60% off, appliances up to 40% off, ceiling fans up to 40% off, and vinyl flooring up to 60% off.
To ensure you get your chance to score the best Build.com Black Friday deals, you have to know when special pricing will take effect.
In the week leading up to Black Friday 2019, Build.com offered savings up to 70%. These savings were spread across the store and were similar to what would follow for Black Friday.
Build.com kicked off its Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving day and carried it through to Sunday night. As Build.com tends to have a separate Cyber Monday sale, there’s a good chance the deals will follow a similar timeline this year.
Build.com doesn’t have any retail locations, so if you’re shopping this store, it will be entirely online.
The store is open online 24/7, but you should expect its Black Friday deals to kick off in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving.
You can save a little bit more on Black Friday by taking advantage of Build.com’s free shipping promotion. When you spend $49 or more, you’ll enjoy free home delivery within the contiguous United States. If you’re ordering appliances or an extra-large order, you’ll need to spend $1499 or more to qualify for free freight shipping.
While Build.com has not offered lower minimum spends for free shipping on previous Black Fridays, it’s something to look out for in the current climate.
When shopping online, you can do so via the store’s website or its mobile app. The pricing is the same across both platforms, but you may find that the site loads faster on your phone or tablet when you use the free app.
