Keeper Security - Frequently Asked Questions
Does Keeper Security offer a student discount?
As a student, it’s more important than ever to make sure you stay safe online. Your passwords and private information often help you keep yourself and your finances safe more than ever when you’re a student. To help you make sure your private information stays private, Keeper Security offers a discount for its services to students currently enrolled in college or university. Just verify your student status through Student Beans to unlock your exclusive Keeper Security discount.
Is there a free trial available for Keeper Security?
You don’t have to pay for Keeper Security to try it out and make sure you’ll love it. Instead, you can try out Keeper Security’s free trial option. This free trial gives you access to the same benefits as the paid version, but you don’t have to pay for it. You don’t even have to provide your credit card information. Once the free trial is complete, you can then make the choice to pay for a subscription or stop using it altogether.
Can I pay less if I purchase Keeper Security coverage for multiple devices at once?
Do you have a family with a lot of devices that you want to keep safe? The Family plan allows you to cover up to five individuals with one subscription, which will save you lots of money over purchasing individual subscriptions for each member of your family. Buy it yearly instead of monthly to save even more.
Keeper Security Info & Tips
What plans does Keeper offer?
Keeper has four separate plans available: two plans for general consumers and two for businesses.
The Personal plan is what most consumers will end up opting for. This plan allows you to use KeeperFill, which generates random passwords and autofills them for you, so you only have to remember one overall password. KeeperChat is a secure instant messaging system that you can use to discuss sensitive information without leaving your conversations open to tech-savvy individuals. The Family plan includes all the same perks as the Personal plan, but can be used by up to five people.
The Business plan, on the other hand, is more wide reaching. With Keeper Business, every employee gets a private vault, as well as access to the password generator. However, you can also share folders and passwords, so teams can work together without ever having to discuss security features. There are also robust auditing and reporting tools, so you can keep your business on track.
The Enterprise plan includes all the options in the Business plan, but is meant for larger businesses. In the Enterprise plan, individual employees still get their own vault storage and Keeper password generator. However, you can also give employees specific roles and then fine-tune each role’s access to certain business-related materials. Each employee can also maintain a business vault and a personal vault, and switch between them at any time on any device.
How expensive are Keeper’s different plans?
When you go to buy a Keeper personal plan, you can opt for just the Keeper password manager, just KeeperChat, or both together. The Keeper password manager is $2.50 per month, billed annually at $29.99, and KeeperChat is $1.67 per month, billed annually at $19.99. You can also purchase both for $3.33 per month, a discount of 20%, billed at $39.99 annually. Family plans are available in a similar fashion, but allow you to add up to five people. The Keeper password manager and KeeperChat are each $5 per month, billed at $59.99 annually, or $8 per month for both together, billed at $95.99 annually.
Business pricing is done per user. Keeper Business is $2.50 monthly per user, billed at $30 per user annually, and Keeper Enterprise is $3.75 monthly per user, billed at $45 per user annually. Plans start at five employees, and you can purchase coverage for up to 100 users through the Keeper website. If you’re interested in covering more than 100 users, contact customer service.
What can I do to get a great deal at Keeper?
-
While the general Keeper plans are extremely important, that’s not all that Keeper offers. You can also buy BreachWatch, which monitors the dark web for leaked account information and then alerts you to take action if it's found. BreachWatch is an additional $19.99 per year.
-
Buying access to a Keeper account will keep your personal information much safer, and that’s why it’s a great idea to do so. Even its original prices are very low, but there’s nothing wrong with getting even better prices on all your purchases. Use Savings.com to get discounts and deals for your Keeper purchase, making it even more affordable for you and the rest of your family.
-
Taking advantage of every possible discount is the best way to get a low price on your Keeper purchase, and if you’re a student, that’s good news. Keeper offers a 30% student discount through Student Beans. All you have to do is sign up at Student Beans and verify your student identity; then, come back and sign in through the website.
Can I get a refund if I don’t want to use Keeper anymore?
Keeper charges its subscription fees in advance. That means when you pay your yearly fee, you’re paying for the next year. Because of the unique nature of Keeper software, the company isn't able to provide a refund in any case. However, you can cancel your account at any time, and there's no cancellation fee to do so. If you want to uninstall your Keeper software from your device, simply visit the Keeper website for step-by-step instructions.
