It’s no surprise that Walmart sells automotive parts — such as wiper blades and cabin air filters — since they sell almost every other kind of product. But did you know Walmart is also your one-stop shop for all things related to auto repair and maintenance?
Let’s explore how Walmart Auto Care Centers can keep your vehicle running in tip-top shape without draining your financial fuel tank.
What Services Do Walmart Auto Care Centers Offer?
Walmart Auto Care Centers offer everything you’d expect from a local mechanic. But the low prices and 2,500 locations in proximity to Walmart stores — so you can shop while you wait — can make it more attractive than sitting in “Joe’s Garage," drinking stale coffee and breathing the scent of dirty oil.
(We’re not saying to avoid local mechanics if they’ve earned your trust or if you have a service warranty at the dealership. But you might save money at Walmart for your car service needs.)

How to Use the Walmart Virtual Garage
The Virtual Garage is the heart of your Walmart auto experience. It’s an online portal (accessible through the Walmart website or in the Walmart App) to schedule and track service, find parts that will fit your car — no more back-and-forth to Auto Zone or scrolling through Google results — and view hours at your nearest Walmart Auto Care Center.
Adding Your Vehicle
Adding your car, truck, or SUV to the Virtual Garage is easy. You don’t have to be a Walmart+ member to take advantage of this service, but you’ll need to log into your Walmart account and have some information on hand. This includes the vehicle’s make, model, year, trim package (called the “sub model" here), and engine base.
You can also add motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and UTVs. Have an older model car? The drop-down menu goes all the way back to 1957!
Use the drop-down menus to make the appropriate selections and then click “Save vehicle." You can then click your car to view its Walmart service history and any warranties you’ve purchased from Walmart. No more wondering if your warranty is about to expire.
Find Auto Care
Not sure which Walmart location is best to service your vehicle? Use this map to find Walmart auto service near you by entering your ZIP code or city and clicking the “Walmart Auto Care Center" button. Click “Make this my store" before you schedule your appointment in the Virtual Garage.
Scheduling Your Walmart Auto Center Appointment
In the Virtual Garage, click “Schedule a service" to make your Walmart Auto Center appointment. Choose which vehicle it’s for (if you have more than one) and then choose the service you’d like.
Note that some Walmart Auto Care Centers may not offer the full range of services. If that’s the case, you’ll have to change your default store.
The next step is to choose a date and time. The calendar shows all available appointments in one-hour increments. Finally, click “Confirm appointment." (You’ll automatically receive text updates about the appointment unless you toggle the switch “off.")
Finding the Right Parts
Are you a DIYer who’d rather work on your vehicle yourself? You can find nearly everything you need online at Walmart.com.
If you’ve already set your car up in the Virtual Garage, Walmart will automatically show you search results for parts compatible with your vehicle. Otherwise, just enter your vehicle’s info before searching:
Why Choose Walmart for Car Maintenance?
With the wide selection of parts, free shipping through Walmart+, and low prices on service, it makes sense to turn to Walmart for your vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
