Stock Up and Save: Walmart’s Best Back-to-School Multipack Deals

Back-to-school season can drain your wallet fast, especially when half the supplies you bought in August mysteriously vanish by October. Instead of paying full price twice, multipack deals make it easy and affordable to stay stocked all year. (And if they don’t mysteriously vanish, hey, you have extra folders for next year.)

I had better luck finding bulk back-to-school bargains at Walmart.com than I did at my nearest Walmart store, plus it was less chaotic. Here are recommendations to make sure you’re stocked all year long.

4-Pack of College Ruled Notebooks ($1.40)

These 70-sheet Pen+Gear College Ruled Notebooks (regular price: $3.88) are on Rollback for next-to-nothing at $1.40. For that much of a deal, it might be worth stocking up for the rest of your kid’s childhood, adolescence, and college years.

10-Pack of Folders ($2.50)

These no-nonsense Pen+Gear paper folders come in six different colors and will keep students organized. For a quarter per folder, you’ll be able to spend an extra $5 on a few rolls of stickers so kids can decorate them. Take that, Lisa Frank!

24-Pack of Washable Glue ($6.00)

Pen+Gear continues to dominate in the back-to-school savings game with this 24-pack of washable school glue. It’s perfect for arts and crafts and your kid’s habit of peeling dried glue off of their hands, arguably a childhood rite of passage.

12-Pack of 10 Crayola Markers ($26.00)

This huge box of markers in classic colors will inspire a lot of drawings, but since markers can dry out over time — and since 94% of educators pay for school supplies out of their own pocket — why not keep a couple boxes for home and donate the rest to your local school? Kids aren’t the only ones who can get creative.
