You're very aware of how COVID-19 has changed the way we do just about everything. Black Friday 2020 will be no different, so consider the following information before you start your shopping.
While most Office Depot stores are currently open, their hours may have changed. In most cases, stores are opening later and closing earlier to allow enough time for employees to sanitize and prepare the store for customers.
The easiest way to learn the status of your favorite store is to use the store locator on Office Depot’s website.
The store has introduced curbside pickup for those who’d rather not enter the store at this time. Place your order online, and choose pickup as your delivery option. When you arrive at the store, just call to have someone bring your purchases to your car.
Effective July 2020, all customers are required to wear face coverings while inside Office Depot stores. This policy is in effect for all Office Depot and OfficeMax stores, regardless of local regulations.
Office Depot hasn’t let the cat out of the bag regarding this year’s deals. But the store tends to offer the same kinds of specials every year, so analyzing last year’s savings can help us predict what we may see this time around.
Office Depot released last year’s Black Friday ad on November 4th. It was 12 pages long and chock full of incredible deals.
Office Depot Black Friday deals are available online and in stores. However, note that some items are only available in one location or the other. Be sure to read the ad carefully so you know how to pick the hot buys you’re interested in.
Last year, Office Depot had select office chairs priced at up to 60% off. You could pick up a mid-back task chair for less than $50. As you ventured further into the ad, you found more than four pages of chairs on sale. No matter your style or budget, Office Depot is sure to have something for you.
Computers were a big deal in 2019, and it’s likely we’ll see lots of related deals this year, too. Last year, you had your pick of 15.6-inch Lenovo laptops for $349.99 and $449.99. There was also a Chromebook for just $99.99 and two HP laptops for $329.99 and $549.99.
Black Friday is an excellent time to stock up on the printer paper you’ll be using all year long. Last year, Office Depot offered an entire case for $29.99, more than 50% off the regular price.
Looking for accessories? Last year’s deals included Logitech mice for $9.99 each, gaming mousepads for $19.99 each, keyboards starting at $14.99, and gaming headsets starting at $29.99.
As Office Depot is an office supply store, you can expect its Black Friday ad to be stuffed with deals on everything you need for your workspace. Other standouts from last year’s ad included desks, antivirus software, break room supplies, stationery and monitors.
Be sure to sign up for Office Depot Rewards if you’re not already a member. It’s free to join, and you’ll enjoy tons of perks.
Reward members earn 2% in rewards on eligible purchases.
As a member, you’ll also qualify for special pricing. For Black Friday, that includes exclusive rewards. For example, the store offered 50% back on select printers last year. It also had some Duracell batteries and Keurig coffee pods that were free after 100% in rewards.
Do good for the earth and your wallet by recycling your empty ink cartridges. You’ll earn $2 in rewards for each that you trade in, up to 10 per month.
You can also earn $2 in rewards for reviews that you leave on the Office Depot website, up to three per month.
Rewards are available as soon as you earn them. You can spend them at your local store or redeem them online.
Not in the mood to trek to your local store this year? Here’s some important info about shopping online.
Office Depot offers free next-day or two-day delivery on most orders of $60 or more. If you spend $50 or more, you qualify for free standard shipping.
Due to overwhelming mail volume, there may be shipping delays. Keep an eye on your tracking number so that you know when to expect your delivery.
If you don’t want to wait for home delivery, you can also opt for free in-store pickup. Many items that are in-stock at your local store can be picked up within an hour. On Black Friday, allow a little extra time due to increased shopping volume.
Should you choose to pick up your own order, look for the Order Online Station near the front entrance. Click the pickup button and follow the instructions on the screen. Smaller orders can be retrieved right from the pickup station.
If you’d rather not enter the store, you can call to have someone bring your purchases out to you.
